Last updated: 26 March 2020 We would like to acknowledge the significant impact the coronavirus…
Growing Early Minds is a community based, not-for-profit organisation located in Blacktown, Western Sydney and we’re passionate about providing quality supported playgroups, parenting programs, early intervention and disability support services to children aged 0-16 years and their families.
Our organisation works with many vulnerable families in the Blacktown and Western Sydney area. These families have experienced struggle, hardship, immense trauma, illnesses and/or significant disability which has placed strain on their ability to provide the extra financial commitment that occurs during the Christmas period. We saw an opportunity to help bridge this gap by initiating a Christmas hamper drive, and we’re proud to say this will be our third year running the initiative. We’re extremely thankful to all our donors as without them this would not be possible.
We are again calling for donations, reaching out to friends, families, parishes, schools, businesses and community organisations. Donations can be in the form of:
- Toys (suitable for children 2-14 years old)
- New clothes (suitable for children 2-14 years old)
- Gift/food vouchers (no cash)
- Discount vouchers for activities
- Non-perishable food items
If toys or clothes are wrapped please let us know what the item is or who it would be suitable for so we can ensure it goes to a suitable child.
Donation deadline: Friday, 15 November 2019. Donations can be collected or delivered to our office address, located at: 217-219 Blacktown Road, Blacktown NSW 2148
Contact: If you’re interested in making a donation or to coordinate collection please email email@example.com
Thank you for taking the time to consider our local families in need this year. We look forward to hearing from you.
In the meantime, feel free to check out the video from last year of us delivering joy and happiness.
